Cast iron inkstand depicting a boy with his dog. So called Berlin iron, signed by Siméon Pierre Devaranne. The fabrication of art, jewelry and everyday objects from iron started at the beginning of the 19th century, when civilians were asked to give away their precious metals for the war effort. In excellent condition. H x W: 15,5 x 18,5cm.
